Only God is immortal; Eternal life is a gift
1 Timothy 6:15-17
15. Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16. Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach
unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
17. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living
God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy
Romans 2:7
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
How long does forever last?

Then his master shall
bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through
with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
Jude 1:7
Even as Sodom and
Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh,
are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Dead people don't go to heaven or hell judgment, they must be resurrected
There are two resurrections, one for the saved and the other for the lost
John 5:28-29
28. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice
29. and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the
resurrection of condemnation.
Mathew 27
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when
the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared
greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

are in heaven.

3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you
unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and
we shall be changed.
Hell judgment is at an appointed day
Romans 2:7
Because he hath appointed
a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance
unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Malachi 4:1
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root
nor branch.
One life, one judgement
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
The soul can be destroyed in Gehenna
Note: Gehhena is Jerusalem's City Dump and it symbolizes the Lake
of Fire in Revelation
Fiery "hell" is the lake of fire
Matthew 10:28
And fear not them
which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able
to destroy both soul and body in hell (gehenna).
James 3:5-7 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter
a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth
the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell (gehenna).
Hell (hades) is the grave (not to be confused with the lake
of fire)
Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that
his soul was not left in hell (hades), neither his flesh did see corruption.
1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave (hades),
where is thy victory?
Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I
am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell (hades) and of death.
In the Lake of Fire is the second death in which there is no resurrection
Revelation 20:12-14
12.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another
book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in
it; and death and hell (hades) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their
works.
14. And death and hell (hades) were cast into the
lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such
the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
"Hell" in the old testament is from the hebrew word "sheol", which means "grave"
Genesis 37:35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I
will go down into the grave (sheol) unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.
Jonah 2
1Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
2And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell (sheol) cried
I, and thou heardest my voice.
Deuteronomy 32:22
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell (sheol), and shall
consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
(note that the "fire" here merely symbolizes God's anger against sin, which he will destroy
in the lake of fire in the final judgement. The "lowest grave" symbolizes profoundness of His anger.)
In hell judgment, the fire falls from heaven and it annihilates the lost
Revelation 20:9
And they went up on
the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out
of heaven, and devoured them.

Luke 16:31 And he
said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though

Demons can pose as dead people. Saul even bowed to one claiming to be Samuel
1 Samuel 28
13. And the king said
unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
14. And he said unto
her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And
Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.

that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be

to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. as
gods, knowing good and evil.
Prophecy of the enemy's defeat

head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Immortality lost after leaving Eden
Genesis 3:23-22 And the LORD God
said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of
the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims,
and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

who gave it.

and where is he?

the flood decayeth and drieth up:
12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till

The Resurrection of Jesus
1 Corinthians 15
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not
risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your
faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses
of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your
sins.
18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ
are perished.

I have told you.

John 3:16
For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
The worm that doesn't die isn't the soul
The WORM serves the SAME FUNCTION AS the FIRE (to devour the soul)
Mark 9:45-46
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter
halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where
their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
